![]() ![]() Obviously you can't do this if the audio track is people speaking or certain kinds of music, but that's typically not what I shoot.įinally, you can use an envelope to reduce the level of the bad peaks to the point of not being noticeable. If the offending audio is too long to simply cut out I often just cut/paste another section in place the the one I don't like. To do this you have to Ungroup the audio track from the video track, otherwise you'll cut out the corresponding video. ![]() For background pops/clicks I just expand the timeline and cut out the short peaks. Of course it always depends on the kind of audio you are dealing with. But I've not used that in a long time since I find that Vegas has all the tools necessary to clean up audio. I've been using Vegas Movie Studio for quite a while, and I also had some experience with Audacity, which is a fine program for audio only. Sony subsequently turned it into a full function video editor. It may interest you to know that Vegas started out as an audio editor called SoundForge. ![]()
